Dear Valued Customer,
As part of this project, your home has officially moved from a lower water pressure zone to a higher water pressure zone.
As a result, the water pressure at your water meter is expected to increase from approximately 35–50 pounds per square inch (PSI) to approximately 90–100 PSI.
To help protect your home's plumbing system, TVWD previously installed a 1-inch water pressure reducing valve (PRV) behind your water meter. The PRV reduces the water pressure entering your home's plumbing to a safe level.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR HOME
Your home's water pressure may feel different following this change. The PRV is set to reduce the higher system pressure before water enters your home's plumbing.
If you would like higher or lower water pressure inside your home, you may hire a licensed plumber to adjust the PRV to meet your household's needs.
Please note that TVWD does not adjust PRVs for individual household pressure preferences. Any adjustment or future maintenance of the PRV is the homeowner's responsibility.
ABOUT YOUR PRV
The new PRV installed by TVWD is covered by a one-year warranty. After the warranty period, the PRV becomes part of your private plumbing system, and you will be responsible for its maintenance and replacement.
