Dear Valued Customer,
On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the water service to your home will be temporarily turned off. During this time, no water will be available for use from your faucets, showers, toilets, or appliances that use water, like dishwashers and washing machines.
This shutoff will allow Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD), your drinking water provider, to install a new fire hydrant near 18335 SW Monte Verdi Blvd.

What to Expect
- Temporary water service shut off to your home (no water will be available for use from your faucets, showers, toilets, or water-using appliances)
- Traffic delays near the work area
- Access to your home will be maintained
- Noise, dust, and vibrations during work
- Traffic control in and around the work area
- Large equipment (such as excavators) nearby
- Limited parking near the work area
- Possible impacts to bike and foot travel
- Mail, deliveries, and garbage service will continue as usual
How to Prepare
- Before the Shutoff: Fill clean containers with 3 to 5 gallons of tap water for drinking, cooking, and flushing toilets
- During the Shutoff: Keep all faucets and water-using appliances turned off to prevent air, debris, or sudden pressure changes from entering your plumbing when water service is restored
- After the Shutoff: Once water service is restored, run cold water for about 2 minutes to clear your pipes.
