Seeing Me in the World
Planning for spring and beyond? Seeing Me in the World is a teen-led and adult-supported learning experience at UU Urban Ministry that invites youth to step into Roxbury, MA with curiosity and care. Check out this introductory video (Vimeo) from a GA 2026 virtual workshop. Co-guided by trained teen facilitators and UUUM staff, the program uses a youth-led walking tour as a core component of a broader experience focused on place, history, identity, power, and belonging. Through guided reflection, dialogue, observation, and shared learning, participants are encouraged to see themselves as connected, capable, and active in shaping a more just world. Seeing Me in the World typically runs March through October. Learn more and explore scheduling options on the UU Urban Ministry website.

Deep Dive Child and Youth Safety Training
This three-part series will look at child and youth safety standards and protocols and dig into real-life scenarios to best equip our congregations to create spaces where our young people can thrive.

There is approximately 90 minutes of pre-work (including a 50-minute video and resources to explore) and then each session will dive deep into a different topic covering things like resourcing ourselves well enough to address our own triggers, expanding confidentiality/mandated reporting, and safety in multigenerational space. Sessions are facilitated by members of the Congregational Life and Lifespan Faith Engagement Teams at the UUA.

The target audience for this series is religious professionals and lay leaders with extensive child and youth interaction. Join us on Tuesdays, October 20, November 3 and 17 from 2:00 to 3:30pm ET. Registration (Wufoo; Deep Dive) is open and available on a sliding scale. Registration closes on Tuesday, October 20.
