City invites input on Edmonton Energy and Technology Park and Oxford school park development
September 28, 2026

The City of Edmonton invites residents’ input into projects, policies and initiatives that grow communities, establish government services and prepare the city for the future. Below are current opportunities for Edmontonians to shape the city.

Changing neighbourhoods to meet changing needs:
  • Edmonton Energy and Technology Park (EETP). The City has received an application to amend the EETP Area Structure Plan to allow for data centres and power generation facilities to be included as permitted uses in the Medium Industrial Precinct. The application also requests the eco-industrial principles for the park to be limited to the Petrochemical Cluster Precinct. Engagement for this land development application is open from September 28 to October 25. Share your feedback at engaged.edmonton.ca/EETPDataCentre. For more information about data centre development, visit edmonton.ca/DataCentres.
  • Oxford School Park Development. The City of Edmonton seeks public feedback on design options for a new school park in the Oxford neighbourhood. The park will support programming for a new Edmonton Catholic School Division Kindergarten to Grade 9 school. A future public junior high school is also planned for this site. The park is intended for both school and community use. An online survey will be available until October 7. To learn more about the project and complete the survey, visit edmonton.ca/SchoolParkDevelopment.
  • Parkview (East of 142 Street) Neighbourhood Renewal. The City of Edmonton invites community members to attend a drop-in event on September 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Parkview Community Hall, 9135 146 St NW, to review design options and speak with the project team. Community members can also complete an online survey until October 12. Visit edmonton.ca/BuildingParkview to learn more about the project.
  • Beacon Heights Neighbourhood Renewal. Community members are invited to attend a drop-in event at Beacon Heights School, 4610 121 Avenue NW, on October 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. to review design options and speak with the project team. Community members can also complete an online survey until October 15. Visit edmonton.ca/BuildingBeaconHeights to learn more about the project.
  • Community league member and user survey. The City of Edmonton invites Community League members, program participants and facility users to share their perspectives and inform recommendations for the future operating model of Community Leagues. The survey asks which services and facilities community members rely on most and identifies opportunities for the system to evolve. It takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes to complete and is collecting responses until September 30. Visit edmonton.ca/CommunityLeagues to learn more.
