Renewal work along 95 Avenue from 163 Street to 182 Street is now complete. Construction was staged over two years to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction throughout the corridor, reducing impacts on commuters. The road fully reopened October 19, with the remaining lane closure between 163 Street and 165 Street removed today.
New improvements include:
- Two reconstructed travel lanes in each direction
- Transit stops designed for amenities, including shelters, benches and garbage bins
- Reconstruction of the north service road
- Wider sidewalks along the north side
- A new shared pathway along the south side, with a raised crossing at 167 Street
- Replacement of the south service road, with new parking bays and connector sidewalks
Renewal projects rehabilitate roads, streetlighting, sidewalks, curbs and gutters while adding missing sidewalk links where possible. The 95 Avenue Renewal Project also included features to improve how people walk, bike, roll, drive and gather.
The City thanks everyone for their patience during construction.
