Action required | Prepare for your cohort declaration checkpoint |
|
Dear Colleague,
Last week, we published the new BTEC key dates for 2023/24. We’re getting in touch to share how you can begin to prepare now for the cohort declaration checkpoint in February. |
What do I need to do?
We will be in touch in January to let you know when your head of centre can access and sign your cohort confirmation declaration. We’ll be asking your head of centre to confirm that all estimated completion dates are accurate for all your registered learners by 9 February. This means we will have a shared view of all your learners that are expecting an overall result in summer 2024, and we can track these throughout the year.
You should ensure all estimated completion dates reflect when learners will be completing their qualification.
We want to tell you now so that you can begin conducting these checks before February, making the cohort declaration checkpoint as simple and easy as possible. If you’re unsure of which estimated completion date should be selected for your learners, read our guide to maintaining estimated completions dates. |
(This cohort confirmation checkpoint does also include Tech Awards (2022) and T levels, and we’ll be in touch closer to the checkpoint to share how you can review estimated completion dates for these qualifications.) |
Withdrawing learners
While conducting these checks, you may come across learners who have an estimated completion date in the past; withdraw any registrations for learners who are no longer on programme. If a learner has an estimated completion date in the past, and has not been withdrawn by the beginning of January, we will withdraw these registrations automatically.
