TVWD has made significant progress on the Alfred St. and Ventura Ct. main replacement and we appreciate your patience as we continue the final stages of this important project.
Ventura Court Construction Starts Monday
Starting on Monday, March 11, TVWD will begin replacing a small section of water main on Ventura Court. This will take only a few days, followed by connecting those customers to the new water main once it has been tested and passed water quality sampling.
Alfred Street Status Update
The new water main serving Alfred Street is installed, pressure tested, and serving water to those customers. Road paving for the dug areas will hold until favorable weather this spring, which requires dry ground and at least 45 degrees for consecutive days.
What is being done?
TVWD is replacing nearly 1,800 feet of water main serving customers on SW Alfred St. between Ventura Court and 69th Avenue, and a limited section of Ventura Court in a cul-de-sac. This project is to improve the water system in this area, increase fire-flow, and reduce the need for future maintenance projects and emergency repairs this area.
