Years of preparation for the world's best orienteering athletes culminate this weekend when the World Orienteering Championships kick off in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The sprint-only WOC has three disciplines: Sprint, Sprint Relay and Knock-Out Sprint, that all take place in and around the Scottish capital.
More than 250 athletes from 45 different nations are competing in Scotland.
And there are excellent opportunities to follow the three sprint competitions Friday, Sunday and Tuesday up close, regardless of whether you are present at the arenas or follow from home.
The national television stations in Sweden (SVT), Norway (NRK), Finland (YLE), Czechia (CzTV) and Austria (ORF) have acquired the TV rights.
IOF’s partnership with the European Broadcasting Union means that the competitions can be watched for free on the streaming platform Eurovision Sport in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany and Austria (KO Sprint on ORF) with English, French and German commentary.
The rest of the world is able to follow all races on IOF TV, where there is also commentary in the three languages
mentioned above. Tickets are 9/25 EUR for one all races.
