Election Season ResoUUrces |
Community Resilience Hub and Forward Together |
As part of our commitment to building resilient, safe, and thriving communities, we encourage you to visit the UU Community Resilience Hub - a comprehensive resource offering tools, training, and support to help protect our communities and democracy. The hub contains everything from conflict de-escalation to leveraging spiritual and physical assets during critical times. The UUA will be updating this space often to bring you the latest information and resources to equip our communities to meet the challenges and opportunities of this moment.
Learn more with this message (YouTube) from UU leaders and the UUA.
As we approach Election Day, it is critical that we come together to nourish our spirits and move in our collective power. This is about more than one election; it is about grounding ourselves in the values and communities that drive our fight for justice. No matter your issue: climate justice, democracy, gender justice, or abolition, we are in this work together. Join us for Forward Together: Anchoring in Community Post Election, a three-part virtual series designed to offer space for reflection, spiritual grounding, and practical organizing in response to the evolving political landscape. Session one will commence on Wednesday, November 6 at 8:00pm ET. Registration is required and will sign you up for all three sessions.

A Series of Small Group Reflections |
As Unitarian Universalists recently affirmed seven Shared Values that define our faith, this series explores each one, using a podcast episode from a diverse list of pods as the "text" to generate thought, discussion, and learning together. In October, we began with a covenanting session and discussed how we care for one another.
In November, we will focus on our shared value of Interdependence.
Using Krista Tippett’s interview with adrienne maree brown for the OnBeing podcast as food for thought, we will reflect on our place in the interdependent web, discuss what we might learn from the natural world, and strategize about practicing democracy and transformative justice in our everyday lives.
We gather on Wednesday, November 13 from 7:00 to 8:00(ish)pm ET. We will open the Zoom room at 5:30pm and stream the episode during an optional pre-gathering listening session. Come prepared to listen and share ideas in our learning community!
Sign up now to receive the Zoom link and information about our gatherings taking place on the second Wednesday of the month through May 2025. More information is available on our website. |

Digging into Data:
a UUA Congregational Data Certification Webinar |
Each year, leaders in our congregations faithfully fill out an extensive questionnaire detailing the varied metrics we track in our lives together. From worship attendance to membership growth, religious education enrollment to budget numbers, the data has some interesting stories to tell. Join us for this webinar with UUA staff from across several departments as we offer our reflections on what the certification process has to tell us.
This webinar will be offered twice, on Monday, November 11 4:00-5:30pm ET and Tuesday, November 19 7:00 to 8:30pm ET. Registration is free and required. |
A Message and Resource from
Lifespan Faith Engagement |
Imagine if you will… in your home congregation…that emerging adults (EAs, aged 18 - 24) are integrated into the life of the church and have strong connections with each other. They are involved in both intergenerational and age cohort activities that satisfy spiritual and social needs. They are encouraged to hold flexible positions of leadership throughout the church and their perspectives and voices are valued, not just because of their generational lens, but also because of their leadership abilities. Their leadership is felt in many aspects of congregational life. Emerging adults are (becoming) a large part of our identity as a faith community; it is truly THEIR congregation, too. Are you interested in making this vision a reality? If so, check out these tips (Google doc). |
