Sponsor A Seat At The Roxy
Sponsor a seat is back! Get your name or the name of a loved one on the seats of the iconic Roxy cinema. We have a limited amount of seats available that we are opening up to the general public for the opportunity to sponsor at £400 a seat.
The money raised from these sponsorships will help go towards the Roxy Collective’s mission of restoring and renovating the Roxy building, helping us to complete vital work.
Please note that the name cards are temporary and as we look to renovate in the future we will update them to a more substantial metal plaque.
If you are planning on giving the sponsorship of a seat as a gift or Christmas present we can also create a certificate to pass on.
Email admin@the-roxy.org if you would like to sponsor a seat and our team will get back to you with further details. |

Keswick to Barrow Walk
Thank you from the K2B and C2B walk organisers
For several years we have been just under the £400,000 threshold for the amount raised by K2B and C2B walkers. We thought we would hit £400,000 in 2020 but unfortunately Covid had other ideas.
Since then, we’ve just missed that £400,000 goal until this year, when not only did we hit this milestone but we exceeded it by over £100,000!!
We are thrilled to announce that this year, we have raised an incredible £503,000. This money will make a real difference to so many incredible local charities and good causes.
To our walkers, sponsors, donors, organisers, volunteers, and supporters, thank you for helping make 2024 a record breaking year for the K2B and C2B. We would not be able to do this without you.
Who is ready for 2025? Team registration for the K2B and C2B opens on 2nd January 2025. |

In these groups, men (aged 18 and over) can open up about the storms affecting their lives in a safe, judgement-free and non-clinical environment. The clubs are designed to be free of pressure; there is no obligation for men to speak, they can simply listen if they wish.

The Breath
7th December at Bardsea Malt Kiln
We’re proud to announce a truly special evening at the Malt Kiln in Bardsea on Saturday, 7th December. Headlining the night is The Breath, a remarkable duo known for their deeply emotional and cinematic sound. Fronted by the powerful voice of Ríoghnach Connolly, winner of the BBC Folk Singer of the Year award, The Breath weaves a spellbinding mix of Irish folk and ambient textures. Connolly’s vocals are raw and soulful, delivering both personal stories and broader reflections on cultural identity, grief, and hope. Alongside her is Stuart McCallum, a renowned guitarist whose background with The Cinematic Orchestra brings atmospheric layers and subtle, intricate riffs, creating a lush and expansive sound.
Supporting them is Anne-Marie Sanderson, a singer-songwriter whose music is steeped in folk traditions yet refreshingly original. Drawing inspiration from nature, literature, and her own travels, Sanderson’s haunting melodies and poetic lyrics create an ethereal, introspective atmosphere. With influences like Nick Drake and Laura Marling, her gentle guitar work and captivating voice make her a standout in the modern folk scene.
With just 100 seats available, the Malt Kiln is an intimate and warm setting for an unforgettable winter night. Whether booking a full table or individual stall seating, join us for an evening filled with beautiful, soul-stirring music in one of Cumbria’s cosiest venues.
There will be a bar serving alcohol and other refreshments throughout the night, providing the perfect complement to the evening’s performances. |
