Some Words from the UUA...

We join thousands of people in the streets. We move for justice We live for peace We will not rest until we are heard. We will not rest until equity is made more real, all around us." A Series of Small Group Reflections
As Unitarian Universalists recently affirmed seven Shared Values that define our faith, this series explores each one, using a podcast episode from a diverse list of pods as the "text" to generate thought, discussion, and learning together. In October, we began with a covenanting session and discussed how we care for one another.

In February, we will focus on our shared value of Generosity through the wisdom of James Rhee. An experience in his childhood inspired him to put compassion first, even in the competitive world of business.

This month we are doing things a little differently. The “primary” text is a TED Talk with James Rhee, The Value of Kindness at Work (the transcript is on the right side of the episode page).

The “extra credit” is an extended interview between Rhee and Brené Brown on her Dare to Lead podcast (for the transcript, scroll down on the episode page).

We gather on Wednesday, February 12 from 7:00 to 8:00(ish)pm ET. We will open the Zoom room at 6:40pm and stream the talk during an optional pre-gathering listening session. Come prepared to listen and share ideas in our learning community!

Sign up now to receive the Zoom link for this gathering and further information about our gatherings taking place on the second Wednesdays of the month through May 2025. More information is available on our website.

2025 Finding Our Way Home - Asheville
Finding Our Way Home (FOWH) is that special time of year, each year, when we gather as religious professionals of color to reflect, regroup, support, accompany, lament, build, and celebrate as a community. We are blessed to be sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).

Join from Tuesday, March 18 through Friday, March 21 at the Montreat Conference Center in North Carolina. Registration is required for a fee; assistance may be available. The registration deadline is Thursday, February 13.

Spiritual Deepening Through
Worship & Small Groups

Registration is required for a fee. Individuals and congregations will receive a 25% off early bird discount if they register by Saturday, March 1. Use code EARLYBIRD when registering. More information is available or email Phillip Lund.
