Achievement District Test Coordinator Updates
January 9, 2023
Achievement District Test Coordinators (DTCs),

Happy New Year! As we approach the spring statewide achievement testing windows, please remember the following regarding DTC communications.
  • Include your district entity number on emails to us. This helps to speed up the research process on our end as we work to get answers to your testing questions.
  • Include the name of the assessment you have a question about - AASA, AzSCI, ACT Aspire, and/or ACT. This helps us to know which staff members can best assist you and also assists us with researching your questions.
  • Achievement DTC emails for the 2022-2023 school year are posted on the Achievement DTC page of our website, under the dropdown for "Achievement DTC Communications - 2022-2023 School Year," for easy access.
  • Please send questions about AASA to AASA@azed.gov, questions about AzSCI to AzSCI@azed.gov, and questions about ACT Aspire or ACT to Testing@azed.gov. Please send your question to only one of these inboxes. Please do not copy all of the inboxes on your email.
Achievement Training Modules

Reminder: Training modules are now available in Pearson's Arizona Training Management System (ATMS): https://azachieve.tms.pearson.com/. From this link, complete the Registration page with your information, using the email address associated with your PearsonAccessNext account. Then, select your user role. Achievement District Test Coordinators (DTCs) must select "District Test Coordinator" as the user role to ensure ADE is able to track your completion of the required training modules.

ADE will track that DTCs have completed training. It is the responsibility of DTCs to track that testing staff within your district or charter have received training according to their user roles. The following chart provides details regarding each training module and which user roles are required to complete them. Your testing staff may view the modules within ATMS or you may share the modules in a group training outside of ATMS. A PowerPoint and transcript is available for each module, and there is also a "Group Training" feature within ATMS. Please see the ATMS FAQ document for additional information.

When accessing the training modules, please note there are three tabs across the top of the ATMS webpage: Achievement Testing, AASA, and AzSCI. The "AASA-Training for Test Coordinators" module is located under the AASA tab, the "AzSCI-Training for Test Coordinators" module is located under the AzSCI tab, and all other modules are located under the Achievement Testing tab.

Achievement District Test Coordinators should complete required training modules in ATMS by January 31, 2023.
