Welcome to this week's Exams Officer Results update.

The moment has arrived — Summer 2025 results are here.

We’re here to support you in ensuring your learners receive the outcomes they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

It's important we complete some final checks to make sure you have everything in place for a smooth and successful period.

If there’s anything else you need, please reach out via the Pearson support portal
To help you have as smooth a results day as possible, we’ve created general guidance for essential results processes.

This includes:
  • Checklist - have you completed...?
  • A2C / BTEC EDI Results Files
  • Key Results Dates & Release Times
  • Edexcel Online (EOL) Access
  • Results Reports / Statement of Results (International Centres)
  • Grade Boundaries, Mark Schemes & Examiner Reports
  • ResultsPlus & ResultsPlus Direct
  • UCAS
  • Post-Results Services (PRS)
  • Appeals
Read our Results Days 2025 Essential Information
Thank you to all who joined us in our online events in July and August. If your were unable to join, you can catch up on the recordings on our support portal.
In 2024, we introduced a change to make it easier to manage which centre staff can access results information on restricted results days and learner results days. The introduction of a 'released results' profile meant those in a non-authorised role such as Teachers and Heads of Department, can access all results information, but only from the published learner results days.

We understand that staff members can lose their phones or get new devices, at any time of the year. When this happens, an MFA reset is required in order to authenticate a new device, and this requires us to complete a secure call back. To make this easier during the summer holidays when staff members are not in centre, we have introduced an optional process to add a mobile number to an EOL account.

If you require your summer 2025 certifications to be received in your centre by mid-September, you can request early certification. You can only make requests at a cohort level and not individual students. Please email eprocessing@pearson.com by 31 August with your centre number and qualification details.

The original certificates we provide do not allow for diacritical marks. If you would like certificates showing the diacritic mark in a candidate's name, please send a request to eprocessing@pearson.com. The request will need to include the following information:
  • Centre number
  • Candidate name including the diacritic mark(s)
  • Candidate number
  • Qualification(s)
The diacritic certificate will be sent separately to your original certificates and will arrive as a secondary consignment a little later. We aim to have all diacritical certificates issued as quickly as possible but this may take some time depending on the amount of requests we receive.

To help you prepare for exams and analyse student performance, we produce Moderator Reports to provide feedback on coursework and exam performance.

The reports can be released to Teachers and also viewed via ResultsPlus on the official results days.

We publish both overall grade boundaries and notional component grade boundaries for each qualification.

Grade boundaries will be available to download on Edexcel Online under Results > Reports Bulk Download on the restricted results days. These won't be sent automatically to your EOL mailbox.

Centres will not be able to make repeated requests for the same report(s). You will have to wait for the initial request to be fulfilled before you can request for additional reports.

These must remain confidential until the learner results days, when they will be available to students and teachers on our website.

UMS marks do not apply to Linear qualifications, which now use scaled subject marks and are awarded at qualification rather than at paper level. The total subject mark for a number of linear AS and A levels may not be the same as the total of individual component marks (“raw” marks).

Don't miss out on the latest news and information. We send out monthly bulletins for General Qualifications.

If you’ve taken care of all your actions for your summer 2025 cohort, you’re all set for the release of results in August. You should have received your Level 3 BTEC results under embargo on 6 August, giving you just over a week to check everything’s in order before you release results to your students on 14 August.

You’ll receive your Level 2 BTEC results under embargo on 15 August, again to give you extra time before releasing results to students on 21 August.

Only results that include a pending external assessment result from the summer series are embargoed. If a qualification is fully internally assessed or isn’t waiting for a summer exam result, you can share those results with students at your discretion.

Read more about the BTEC embargo, BTEC results and FAQs
If you sent us your BTEC EDI results request file from you, you’ll receive your EDI results file via A2C from 00:01 on 6 August, and you should have your results by 4:00 a.m. If you run into any issues, our quick troubleshooting guide can help.

If you haven't sent us your BTEC EDI results request file, and you do want to receive results via EDI, please send a request file to us as soon as possible.

Follow our guide to submitting a BTEC EDI results request file

The JCQ EDI result file format does not support BTEC triple grades, so we publish two-digit codes which should be converted by your software.

We have sent the BTEC Level 3 National grade boundaries to Edexcel Online mailboxes on 6 August. These will be published publicly on our qualifications website on 14 August. We'll send the BTEC Level 2 on the morning on 15 August, which will then be published publicly on 21 August.
