Achievement Assessments Spring 2024 Training Modules

Spring 2024 training modules are now available in the Arizona Learning Management System (AzLMS). Please see the Achievement Assessments Training Requirements for information about each training module to be completed by each user role and the Achievement DTC email sent last week for additional information. Once an account has been set up, users can access the AzLMS at https://learningmanager.adobe.com/pearson-lms-az.

DTCs will need to send user role-specific links, which are included below, to testing staff in the district or charter so staff may register for an AzLMS account and access the training modules in AzLMS.
When logging into AzLMS, users will select their district and school from the dropdown lists. District Test Coordinators must select their district or charter from the dropdown options to ensure ADE is able to track DTC completion of trainings. Testing staff at specific schools should select their school from the dropdown list to ensure the School Test Coordinator (STC) or the DTC can track their training completion. All schools throughout the state are displayed in the dropdown list, in alphabetical order. It is helpful for staff to know their school's entity ID number because many schools have similar names.

DTCs must complete trainings within AzLMS for tracking purposes. However, DTCs may choose to present required training modules to staff in a group setting outside of AzLMS. The ADE slides and transcript may not be altered; however, DTCs may add additional campus or district information for their testing staff. Whether testing staff complete training modules in AzLMS or attend a group training outside of AzLMS, DTCs are responsible for tracking staff completion of required training.

On December 15, a Friday Focus webinar was presented by ADE and Pearson staff about accessing and using the AzLMS system. If you were not able to attend the live webinar, or if you would like to view the webinar again, the recording has been posted on our website. We are also in the process of answering all of the questions received in the chat during the webinar, and the FAQ document will be posted on our website as soon as possible.
AASA Updates and Reminders

The Spring 2024 administration of AASA is now available in PearsonAccess Next (PAN). DTCs may now begin the tasks detailed below. Additional information about completing each task is available in the PAN training modules in AzLMS as well as in the Spring 2024 Quick Guide - Getting Started in PAN. This Quick Guide is also posted in PAN under Support > Documentation.

December 20, 2023: Registration begins for Pearson Technology Office Hours. District or school technology personnel responsible for setting up devices for testing may schedule an office hours session. Office hours sessions are available in 15-minute, 30-minute, or 60-minute sessions, January 2, 2024 - January 26, 2024.

December 20, 2023: User accounts may be created in PAN. This task is ongoing through the test window. Accounts may created manually or through an import file for School Test Coordinators, Technology Coordinators, and Test Administrators.

December 20, 2023 - February 16, 2024: Verify contact information and shipping address in PAN. DTCs with multiple districts must verify each district separately. Any changes or corrections must be made by emailing ADE at AASA@azed.gov.

Please see the AASA DTC Important Tasks Checklist for additional upcoming tasks and deadlines.
ACT Updates and Reminders

Site readiness tasks, including mock administration, are now available. All sites administering the online ACT are strongly encouraged to complete a mock administration prior to testing.

ADE will upload Cohort 2025 students to ACT's PearsonAccess Next (PAN) site on January 29, 2024. High school testing is by cohort rather than by grade level or courses completed or enrolled in. All students in Cohort 2025 in AzEDS will take the statewide ACT test.

Initial requests for ACT accommodations and EL supports must be submitted to ACT in the Test Accessibility and Accommodations (TAA) system no later than February 2, 2024

ACT is hosting Accommodations Office Hours now through March 2024. Please visit the ACT Accommodations Office Hours registration page for dates, topics, and registration links.

Please see the ACT Schedule of Events for additional upcoming tasks and deadlines.
