Achievement Assessments Training Modules

Spring 2025 training modules are now available in the Arizona Learning Management System (AzLMS). Please see the Achievement Assessments Training Requirements for information about each training module to be completed by each user role. Please note the Test Security and Ethics training is required for all employees who will administer, proctor, be in contact with test materials, or have access to the testing environment for AASA, AzSCI, ACT Aspire, and ACT test administrations.

Each training module includes resource links for the module transcript and a PowerPoint flat file that can be downloaded and referenced along with the training modules in AzLMS.

Achievement District Test Coordinators (DTCs) and staff who had an AzLMS account last school year and are in the same district or charter this school year, or who have a current AzLMS account for AZELLA, will continue to use the same account. New DTCs must set up an AzLMS account. See the November 20, 2024 DTC email for additional information. Please check to ensure you can access your AzLMS account at https://learningmanager.adobe.com/pearson-lms-az.

Pearson will be hosting AzLMS Office Hours on Wednesday, December 4, 9:00-10:00am. If you have questions about accessing your AzLMS account or navigating AzLMS, please join the Office Hours session using this link: December 4 AzLMS Office Hours or email us at Testing@azed.gov. An additional AzLMS Office Hours session will be held on January 15, 2025.

Achievement District Test Coordinators should complete all required training modules no later than February 21, 2025, and must complete the required training modules in the AzLMS system. All other testing staff must be trained prior to administering any tests. It is recommended that testing staff complete required training modules, according to their user roles, in the AzLMS for tracking purposes. However, Achievement District Test Coordinators may choose to present the required training modules to staff in a group setting outside of AzLMS. Whether testing staff complete training in AzLMS or outside of AzLMS, Achievement District Test Coordinators are responsible for tracking staff completion of training.

Testing staff who do not already have an AzLMS account must be invited to create their account using one of the user role specific links below. District Test Coordinators will need to send the appropriate link to testing staff before staff can complete training modules in AzLMS.
When users log into their AzLMS account the first time, they will need to select their district and school (if applicable) for them to appear on the DTC's manager reports.
ACT Aspire Training Modules and Manuals

ACT Aspire materials are being updated for the Spring 2025 administration. Two on-demand training modules will be provided: Test Administration Training and Technical Readiness Training. In addition, the following manuals are currently being updated.
  • Test Coordinator Manual
  • Accessibility Supports Guide
  • Room Supervisor Manual - Online
  • Room Supervisor Manual - Paper
All updated resources will be published on the Pearson-hosted ACT Aspire support webpage as soon as possible. Hard copies of the ACT Aspire manuals will not be provided.
ACT Test Window Selection

The deadline for Test Coordinators to select their preferred ACT test window and materials shipping dates in PearsonAccess Next is Friday, December 6, 2024. The preferred test window must be selected for each school. More information is available in Step 1: Orientation on the ACT-hosted website for Arizona.

Please note the "Not Applicable/Online Testing" option that was available in prior years is no longer available in the dropdown menu for the Paper Standard Time Test Date. All schools will need to input a date in the Paper Standard Time Test Date dropdown, even if they are only administering online tests. The same test window should be selected for all three dropdowns in PearsonAccess Next: Paper Standard Time Test Date, Paper Accommodations Test Window Start Date, and Online Standard Time and Accommodations Test Window Start Date.

Schools are encouraged to administer ACT during the first test window and may also use the second test window, as needed, to complete any makeup testing. Any schools that choose to administer ACT during only the second test window will not have an additional ACT test window to use for makeup testing.
